Waiting Room

This collection centers around my personal experience of starting a new life in another country, as it is often like being in a never-ending waiting room which seems to be out of space and time. Especially when I travel from Prague to Budapest or from Budapest to Prague, during the first few days after arrival it’s like getting into a vacuum, into a waiting room, and it takes a while till I arrive to my life. For a while, everything seems to be unreal and weightless, it takes a long time till things and people find their final place around me. In this kind of boundary situations, we always feel deeply alone, and we are still waiting for new inspirations and new human relationships which will suddenly enter into our waiting room, and help us move ahead, but sometimes also for actual vehicles which will take us back to our old home or life. It is this hovering and dream-like condition that the color scheme and symbols of the photos are trying to express. But being alone and waiting like this provides another way to get to know ourselves better. Accordingly, this collection tries to show, in a poetic way, the loneliness of birth, which always takes place in the various kinds of waiting rooms of our lives.
